LEATHER
Gtechniq’s L1 AB Leather Guard forms a durable abrasion resistant matte finish which offers the best ever protection against abrasion damage, UV rays, dye transfer and other discolouration. Leather Guard contains BioCote® antimicrobial technology, which kills 99.9% of surface bacteria.
Friction protection is particularly important on seat bolsters, seat piping and any other high wear areas. The anti-stain function of Leather Guard is most relevant for light coloured leathers which are typically stained by dark coloured fabrics such as blue jeans.
MYTH BUSTER!
Many leather products market themselves on how they feed leather, when in fact this is not needed. Modern automotive leathers use synthetic fat liquors which do not evaporate. Any product that is designed to feed leathers ill not be absorbed by modern leather trim but instead remains on the surface, attracting dirt which will then abrade the leather diminishing the leather’s finish and shortening its lifespan.
FABRIC
I1 AB Smart Fabric protects all kinds of fabrics from water and oil based stains. Smart Fabric is Oleophobic, serving to protect all kinds of fabrics from water and oil based stains. It is breathable and extremely durable thanks to Gtechniq’s unique and nano-engineered 3S Smart Surface Science. Smart Fabric also contains BioCote®, an antimicrobial additive which kills 99.9%% of hidden bacteria.
I1 Smart Fabric makes ordinary fabrics waterproof and easy to clean. It prevents soaking, swelling and rotting in any fabric, including: sails, tents, seats, carpets, awnings and even convertible soft top.
The nano particles of Smart Fabric coat each fabric fibre individually, leaving the texture unaffected, allowing the material to breathe. This means stale air will still be able to escape, while repelling water and oil-based liquids.
Smart Fabric is alcohol based, ensuring a much deeper penetration of the active ingredient, offering the treated surface much better durability and overall long-term performance. Typically, any Gtechniq Smart Fabric treated surface will last 5 times longer than conventional water repellent coatings, ranging from 12-36 months or longer.
